Span Training rated Grade Two – Good by Ofsted in 2014 and again in 2018.

Our Rating

Span Training & Development Ltd was inspected by Ofsted and awarded a Grade Two – Good rating in 2014. This rating was maintained in the subsequent inspection in 2018, confirming the consistent quality of our training provision.

The hairdressing occupational sector was also rated Good, recognising the high standard of training and assessment delivered across our core programme area.

Awarded in 2014 and confirmed again in 2018. Both the overall effectiveness and the hairdressing subject area received a Good rating.

Success Rates

Success rates are good. Learners achieve their qualifications at rates that are consistently above national averages, demonstrating the effectiveness of our training delivery and learner support.

Rapid Progress in Skills

Learners make rapid progress in developing their practical hairdressing skills. Assessors provide effective one-to-one support that enables learners to build confidence and competence quickly in the workplace.

Good Progression

There is good progression from intermediate to advanced level programmes. Learners are well supported in moving from Level 2 to Level 3 qualifications, enabling them to further develop their careers in the hairdressing industry.

Off-the-Job Training

The quality of off-the-job training is good. Training sessions are well planned, effectively delivered and closely aligned to the needs of learners and their employers.

Communication Skills

Good development of communication skills. Learners develop strong interpersonal and professional communication skills that support their effectiveness in the salon environment and their wider personal development.
